- Obtain a COVID-19 RT PCR test within five (5) days of arrival. (Test result must indicate PCR, test date, test lab info and the most critical piece, the lab's CLIA#.)
- Apply for a Bahamas Health Travel Visa at https://travel.gov.bs/ wtih lab result pdf on-hand.
- Complete a daily online health survey while in Bahamas. Emails deliver close to midnight every night.
- Retest COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test on Day 4 - 5 if staying 5 days or more.
- Retest COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test within 72 hours of returning to the U.S. for U.S. Immigration if you return by aircraft.
- Always wear a mask and always social distance in public places.

Effective May 1, 2021, those traveling to The Bahamas from outside of The Bahamas will be exempt from taking a COVID 19 test once they are fully vaccinated and have passed the 2 week immunity period.
Those within The Bahamas that have been fully vaccinated will be immediately exempt from COVID 19 test requirements when traveling throughout the Islands.

- Daily Curfew lifted.

- HOA Office open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Masks must be worn when entering and during your time in the office. Fines can be enforced for not following this procedure, and also include the closure of the office. Only 2 persons at a time will be permitted into the office, and a distance of 6ft must be kept from the desk.
- The online Health Visa application is no longer an automated response, and can take two or three days for them to reply with approval. Your negative test result must be submitted with the application.
All visitors to pay mandatory COVID-19 health insurance when applying for their Health Travel Visa. The insurance will cover travelers for the duration of their stay in The BahamasBahamas Health Travel Visa fees, inclusive of Day 5 Rapid Antigen Test & mandatory health insurance, are as follows:
- $40 – Visitors staying up to four nights and five days.
- $40 – Citizens and returning residents.
- $60 – $70 - Visitors staying more than four nights. (Fee Includes 5th day test)
- Free - Children 10 years and under
All persons who are staying in The Bahamas longer than four nights/five days will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 antigen test.
- All visitors departing on or before five days will not be required to obtain this test.
- The rapid tests are easy, quick and will yield results in 60 minutes or less. Results are sent electronically via email and printed on premise if you are returning to the U.S. by aircraft within 72 hours of this test.
- Notwithstanding any health restrictions that may be implemented from time to time, all travelers abiding by these new protocols will be permitted to move about and explore the beauty and vibrant culture of The Bahamas beyond the confines of their hotel or other accommodations.7
